Two months of intense preparation for the Final Profession of 34 junior sisters belonging to 10 different congregations was held at Prerana Bengaluru. It was a time of grace and blessings. We were blessed with good health to carry on with the course as scheduled despite the Omicron wave.
In the beginning, the participants took time to come to know each other. As days passed by, the various courses, interactions, reflections, sharing in the ‘Living groups’ and recreations strengthened the bonds within the group. In the end, all of them felt that the course has deepened their commitment to Consecrated life.
It was a journey, a journey inward, a journey upward and a journey outward. The courses such as “Inner Child workshop, Psycho-spiritual & Sexual Integration, Discernment, and Inward journey retreat” helped the participants to introspect inward and discover the treasures within. On the other hand, courses such as “A new way of being Religious, Covenantal Spirituality and Mission of the Religious” helped them to understand and deepen the life and mission of the Religious in today’s context. Counselling and Spiritual Direction Skills, Life skills, Spirituality of Social Justice equipped the participants to be fruitful in their ministry.
A sense of gratitude prevailed in each one of them as they said goodbye to Prerana. The journey of two months indeed has helped them to deepen their roots and strengthen their wings to fly high with a renewed spirit.
